Azalea Sprinter Motive Power |

n its first season of operation, Azalea Sprinter trains have made use of a variety of motive power. Freight locomotives assigned to CaterParrott's Valdosta Division were the first power: often a road and yard switcher, each on an end. Later a second road switcher was brought into the shortline's Geep fleet, and since then excursions have ordinarily been pulled by a GP40 on either end of the train. Most recently, a pair of EMD E-units has been secured for future passenger power. As of late 2022, both streamlined cab units are getting upgrades and repainting for forthcoming Sprinter service.

Unit has been painted in CPR blue, with trucks primed awaiting silver paint. Ventilation grills undergoing restoration offsite. Portholes will be replaced with CPR green glass. CPR gold lettering forthcoming. Unit mechanically sound.
