The Ohio Central System included several subsidiary shortlines in the greater Youngstown, Ohio, industrial region, all of which were acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in its purchase of the Ohio Central. Youngstown lines included the Mahoning Valley Railway, Warren & Trumbell Railroad, Youngstown Belt Railroad, and Youngstown & Austintown Railroad. Ohio Central System motive power assigned to the Youngstown Belt are typically stored in Girard, Ohio, just south of Interstate 80 along State Street, pictured here.
