Buckingham Branch NRHS Buckingham Excursions |
The Buckingham Branch Railroad partners with the Old Dominion Chapter of the National Railway Historic Society in offering periodic excursion rides. The Chapter owns a number of historic passenger coaches and engines for preservation and for use on excursion train rides. Departing from the picturesque Dillwyn Station, the vintage diesel powered train winds through the rolling hills and deep forests of an unspoiled landscape in the heart of Central Virginia.
While road trips offer a unique way to experience Virginia’s landscape, train rides can often be even more relaxing. Considering you don’t have to worry about traffic or keeping your eyes on the road, opting for a scenic railway excursion is bound to put your mind at ease. If you’ve never considered taking a train ride purely for the views, then you might consider taking the Buckingham Branch Railroad passenger excursion.
