Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum East Chattanooga Depot |
East Chattanooga, Tn / Jun 2019 / RWH
ennessee Valley Railroad Museum's East Chattanooga depot is located at 2202 North Chamberlain Avenue in East Chattanooga, Tennessee. Prior to the construction of the Grand Junction depot in 1983, East Chattanooga was the departure station for museum trains running the 6 mile roundtrip. Even after Grand Junction was built, for many years visitors could park and depart from either depot. In recent years, however, all visitors park and depart from Grand Junction, making East Chattanooga the destination for all Missionary Ridge Locals and Evening Ridge Runner trains. The depot serves as the anchor for several points of interest at the west end of the museum, including the operating turntable, Soule Shops, and a variety of storage and display tracks.
