Your 80 minute experience begins as you board the train at Kingsland Station just 2 miles west of I-95. Be entertained on board during one of our themed rides or choose to sit back and relax. We’ll travel through local neighborhoods, Kingsland’s commercial district, get a glimpse of some Georgia marshlands, and end at a working rail yard in St. Marys, Ga before heading back to Kingsland Station.

sm_state egyptian he Florida-Georgia Railway Heritage Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the railroad history of coastal Georgia and northern Florida through excursions, exhibits, and entertainment. The organization is housed in a renovated building dubbed the Kingsland Station, a structure originally constructed in 1915 as a sawmill factory. Kingsland Station houses a community theater stage, railroad-related exhibits, and a large HO scale model railroad constructed and operated by the Golden Isles Model Railroad Club. The museum operates in conjunction with the Georgia Coastal Railway, which operates seasonal themed train excursions over most of the St. Marys Railroad mainline. Utilizing the shortline's motive power and rolling stock, excursion trains depart Kingsland and travel east to the St. Marys River. Cabooses, fallen flag streamliner cars, and open-air conversion cars make up the trains.
