tmh_state egyptian he Telfair Museum of History was located in the former Seaboard Air Line depot in Helena, in the now combined community of McRae-Helena, Georgia. The museum was established in 2007 to display items of historic agriculture, naval stores, timber occupations, and modes of transportation related to Telfair County. As of 2022, the museum appears defunct. However, remaining outside on display are a vintage Railway Express agency delivery truck and a Southern Railway bay window caboose. Adjacent to the depot is the shortline Heart of Georgia Railroad's mainline between Cordele and Vidalia, Georgia — a former Seaboard Air Line route between Montgomery and Savannah.
