pss_state egyptian he Portersville Steam Show is an annual multi-day summer gathering in the western Pennsylvania village of Portersville. Together with a "spring gas-up" and a "fall fling," the summer show is sponsored by the Northwest Pennsylvania Steam Engine and Old Equipment Association. Working demonstrations include Baker fan testing, equipment parades, vintage gas engines, field engines, saw milling, shingle milling, steam building exhibits, working steam engines, threshing and bailing, cross cut saws, and a variety of vintage cars and tractors. The antique village area includes a homemade scale-riding "Portersville Northwestern Railroad" featuring a loop of track with a two-track storage shed and an embankment bridge. The gasoline locomotive was built in 1982 by Harold Bupp.
