The Pittsburgh & Ohio Central Railroad operates 42 miles of former Pittsburgh, Chartiers & Youghiogheny and Pennsylvania Railroad trackage southwest of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The line interchanges with the CSX on Neville Island, the Norfolk Southern at Duff Junction, and the Pittsburgh, Allegheny & McKees Rocks at McKees Rocks. The POHC was developed by the Ohio Central Railroad group in 2000 when it purchased the line from RailAmerica, but with the sale of the OC to the expanding Genesee & Wyoming group, the pike is now under GW control.
